Some Facts About Our “Little” Blues Station

put your ears onJust thought we would share a little information about our… YOUR… blues radio station. Currently, we have in rotation over 3700 songs, which translate into over 260 hours of blues music available for your ears – potentially without a repeat! And every single hour of every single day is COMMERCIAL FREE!

We have 18 wonderfully talented and generous DJs – without whom this station would be just another internet radio station churning out tune after tune with no personality. These 18 DJs provide over 68 hours a week of top-notch blues tunes and entertainment. They are the soul of this station. As the “owner” – I am very grateful for each and every one of them.

We also have one “behind the scenes” administrator named Sha. Every day she gives unselfishly of her time, too. She loves this station as much as each of us do, perhaps even more. She is our go-to gal, our techie, our social media enthusiast and deserves a very public “Thank You!”

Lastly, “Thank You” to all our listeners! We appreciate your support and comments. We hope you are enjoying the music we provide for your listening pleasure. We hope that you like us enough to tell your friends about us.

Of all the web radio stations, yours is the best I have found so far, but the statement on your website about “potentially without a repeat” is quite overstated: the main problem I have with your station is that you repeat the same songs over and over again, and this morning, even repeated an entire 2-hour show!

      Hi Pepe,

I’m really sorry to hear that you think we repeat songs frequently. Admittedly we can’t control “Otto” (the automatic DJ) as much as we would like, but I thought we were doing a pretty good job about it.

Oh boy am I embarrassed! Not only did I mistakenly repeat last week’s National Blues Museum Radio broadcast, it played twice tonight. That was an unfortunate mistake. We do repeat (haha) the broadcast on Tuesday afternoons, so this week it will be first run on Tuesday – and its been fixed so it will play only once. My apologies to Pepe and our other listeners, and of course to Christian Cudnick and the National Blues Museum Radio.

And hey, we do appreciate the feedback! I’ll keep a better eye on the inventory, and how often it repeats.

3700 songs. 260 hours. 10.83333333333 days. 1.476190476142857 weeks. So like do these numbers reflect the inventory of all 18 DJ’s AND what “Otto” plays, or just “Otto”? What about DJ duplicates? are they extracted from the totals for accuracy? C’mon, Virgos all over the globe (and on “The Grids”), wanna know!!

As for actual repeats?… Pffft.. Tune into any station on the airways and you can count up repeats by the hour. Yeah Pepe’s right, he caught ya with your knickers ’round your ankles, but over all you are doin’ great… ‘nough said!

    Love this site!

It’s amazing to find a site that is CLEARLY an accumulation of dedicated blues fans! I especially appreciate the obvious effort into finding new content from artists that haven’t hit the mainstream! Perfect place to get fresh tunes!

Thanks for the Tune-In app addition. I stream it to the car and play it through the stereo. Beats Sirius!

    Hi Randy,

Thanks so much for taking the time to post to the site. I’m really glad you like the Tune-In app, I happen to like it too!

As far as dedicated blues fans – our listeners really are! I’m going to be posting the results of our survey soon. I am so happy we put one out there, and even more happy with all the feedback we got! It really helped to shape our future direction as we head into our THIRD YEAR on the air!
